There are few events in life more exciting than the birth of a baby. While most new parents opt to send out a formal invitation a few weeks after the birth, it’s becoming more common to send a birth announcement via email within moments of coming home from the hospital. With a little planning, announcing the birth of your child via email is just a click away. Create an email group containing the email addresses of all the friends and family members who will be receiving the email announcement. Take plenty of photos of the baby at the hospital. Write down the date and time of the baby’s birth, the baby’s weight and length and any other details that you’d like to include in the email. Use the notes you took to write a brief email announcement after you get home from the hospital.
