How Do You Select Tee Ball Equipment?
Choosing equipment for your Tee Ball player can be confusing and overwhelming for parents. There is a vast array of products available from mits to heart guards to batting gloves. Some are essential and others may be extravagant. The goal of this article is to provide some guidance on what your T-Ball player will need to play safely and effectively. At T-Ball University we receive many requests for help on how to find the appropriate equipment for new T-Ball players. We suggest that parents go to the local sporting goods store or department store to purchase a glove for their child. Glove sizes range from a size 8 to 11 in ½ increments dependent on the size of your child’s hands. The size is normally indicated on each glove. A good bench mark is to have your child try on the glove and ask them to squeeze the glove. If they are having trouble closing the glove, it is probably too big. The glove should also adequately cover the lower portion of the hand palm at the beginning of the wrist
