How Do You Select A College Major?
You may still be in high school and you may already know what career you want to pursue upon graduating from college. You may have already started college, but perhaps you still have not selected a major.Either situation is understandable. Some students find their interest earlier than others; other students have several interests which could make viable careers, but have not made a choice about which career would make them happiest.Whatever route you take in choosing a college major, there are several things you can do to make the process easier. By zeroing in on your interests and your capabilities, you will be better able to choose the direction you want to take. Narrow down your interests–those which could become future careers. Ask your school counselor for written information, such as brochures, about the majors you’re thinking about and the colleges or universities you’re interested in.
