How Do You See Wildlife In Shenandoah National Park?
Just a short distance from Washington D.C., Shenandoah National Park offers a surprising amount of wildlife. The Blue Ridge Mountains and hardwood forests provide a number of different habitats for wildlife like white-tailed deer, grey foxes, bobcats and black bears. Visit the park today and see what wildlife you can spot. Look along Skyline Drive and in developed areas of the park for white-tailed deer. Deer are some of the most often sighted animals in the park and you may even catch sight of fawns with their mothers in the spring. If you’re having trouble spotting one, try looking in open meadows just before dusk. Head into the back country for your best chance of seeing the park’s elusive animals, such as black bear and bobcats.
