While traveling on the tour of U.S. 89, be sure to check out another spectacular site. After visiting the Sonoran Desert National Monument, it is but a short drive to another National Monument, Organ Pipe. Investigate the Organ Pipe National Monument by exploring the Organ Pipe National Monument Web site, hosted by the National Parks Department (see below). Leave the Sonoran Desert National Monument via Interstate 8 going west. Almost immediately after exiting the Sonoran Desert National Monument, exit onto Highway 85 heading south. Continue through Ajo where the highway becomes the Ajo Highway. At the junction with State Highway 85, turn right, south, and head into the Organ Pipe National Monument. Proceed to the Kris Eggle Visitor Center where daily activities, guided tours and maps are available.
