The New York State Fair, officially the Great New York State Fair, is the oldest and one of the largest state fairs in the United States. The Syracuse-based fair was first held in 1841 and showcases the Empire States produce, livestock, crafts and other products. In addition, the fair features midway rides, concerts and games.
