Sealing PVC pipe so that it will not leak is a very straightforward and simple process. But, it is important to remember that PVC cement sets within seconds, so it is imperative that you connect your two lengths of pipe immediately after the PVC glue has been applied. PVC is an ideal material to plumb with because, like galvanized or steel piping, it will not rust over time. Clean both ends of the pipes that you wish to connect with a dry rag.
