Prepare the Area Sweep your driveway or pool deck completely. If it looks as if it will be sunny for a few days, you can start the washing process. Since you’ve already swept the area, continue with your prep by pressure washing the entire driveway or pool deck. Allow to dry thoroughly. Begin Sealing Mix 1 qt. Xylene for every 2 1/2 gallons of sealant you will be using. This thins the liquid down a bit and really allows for this first coat to get into all the cracks and crevices. Because it is thinned, it also dries very fast. Apply a thin layer evenly with the roller, but don’t worry about trying to get the solution into every nook and cranny. Allow to dry overnight.
