Whitetail deer hunting is an exciting and action-packed sport. When that big buck steps into your sights and all you can see are huge antlers, there is nothing more exciting! Once that buck is on the ground is when the real excitement starts, however. That is when you can actually determine whether the trophy you just killed is simply your personal best, or if it belongs in the record books. Whitetail trophies are scored using two methods: The Boone and Crockett method or the Buckmaster’s method.
