HP’s MediaSmart software allows you to scan photos and upload them to photo sharing sites such as Snapfish. MediaSmart also plays DVDs and Blu-ray discs and provides a digital music player. Your scanner will scan the document for you, and MediaSmart allows you to manage and save the file once scanned. MediaSmart is included on many HP desktop and laptop computers, but if yours comes without this utility, you can download and install it. Turn on your computer and your scanner by pressing the power button on each device. Wait for the computer and scanner to power on before continuing. Insert your MediaSmart DVD into your HP computer. This automatically opens a MediaSmart installer. Follow the prompts on the installer to install MediaSmart on your computer.
