If your computer is infected with a virus, you can remove it from your computer without paying any money if you use software that is free for home users. This software scans your computer for viruses and removes any that are found, making your computer safe and secure again. Download a virus-removal tool (such as Malwarebytes, Spybot Search & Destroy or Microsoft’s Malicious Software Removal Tool) from the web by visiting its home page and downloading it (see Resources). Run the installation file you downloaded and install the software on your computer. Once the installation finishes, restart your computer. Press the “F8” key several times as the computer starts up.
