After you have applied a stroke to an Adobe Fireworks object, you can then save those stroke settings. Saving the custom stroke settings will enable you to apply them again in the future with just one quick click. Start Adobe Fireworks and open an existing document that contains an object you want to add a stroke to. As an alternative, start a new, blank document and add a shape or other vector object to it. Select the shape that you want to add a custom stroke to and save that stroke. You will see blue sizing handles around the object when it is selected. You will notice that the properties for that object are now displayed in the Properties inspector. Use the “Shape category” menu to choose the type of stroke, the color well to choose the color of the stroke, the “Tip size” box to choose the width of the stroke and the “Edge softness” box to set the softness of the stroke. Get your stroke the way you want it and move on to the next step when you are ready to save these stroke setting
