Dampen a clean white cloth with warm water. Use the wet cloth to moisten the entire area of the stain. Using a blotting motion, clean the stain with the dampened cloth. Begin by wiping in one direction then reverse the direction. This ensures that all sides of the carpet strands get clean. When the area has been cleaned in all directions, continue to Step 3. With a clean dry towel, blot the stained area to absorb the water. Once again, blot in all directions to remove the water (and the stain). Repeat steps 1-3 until the stain has been removed.
