Receiving blankets have many great uses. After your baby becomes a toddler, the blankets can be used for doll blankets and as easy light blankets to bring along in the stroller, in the car, for picnics at the park, or at the beach. They are also great for wrapping mom’s hair in when wet because of their convenient size and absorbency. Little boys and girls have fun using them for Superman capes, princess capes, and wedding veils. When you are ready to start cutting them up, they can be used at the table instead of napkins. Cut one receiving blanket into 6 inch by 6 inch squares. Fold the squares in half and use at breakfast, lunch, and dinner time as napkins. Dampen the squares for easy clean up.
