How Do You Save Food In Mason Jars With Foodsaver?

0

Mason jars are traditionally used for most home canning of food. A mason jar can keep the contents fresh for several weeks to a year, depending on the contents and location it is stored. The shelf lifespan can be increased by placing the Mason jar in a FoodSaver bag. The FoodSaver removes the air around the jar while it remains sealed in the bag, allowing the contents to potentially stay fresh for years. Place the Mason jar into the FoodSaver bag. Place the unsealed top of the bag onto the sealing strip of the FoodSaver. You will probably need to gently place the jar on its side to do this. Press the “Vacuum & Seal” button. The air will be removed from the FoodSaver bag before it is sealed.
