How Do You Run A Roof Valley?
Learn from a professional roofer on how to properly run you valley shingles. The first step is to run the bottom row of your shingles on the longest section of the roof side. This means the smaller side of the valley that is longest. Run the last shingle at least half way or more through on the other side. You will have to push the shingle down in the valley and nail it on both sides at least 3 inches away from the valley. Next run the smaller side at the bottom so it goes through and overlaps the other shingle at least half of the last shigle should be on the longest side after you are done. Now continue to run this small side up and through the valley at least half of the last shingle. After you are done you should have the samller side roofed with one rowe ran on the longes side. You will then chalk a line one inch on the shingles that are haning over from the smallest side onto the lontes. This is where your other side will be cut to. Follow your line cutting your angles out as you
