A well-organized boat auction can be easy to run if you’ve got the help you need and the proper processes in place. Whether you are running a silent auction where bidders place bids on paper and wait until a certain deadline for results, or you open the bidding process for buyers to compete for the sale, you should have certain provisions in place before the day of the auction. Do as much of the work prior to the day of the auction as possible. Sending out fact sheets of the boats you will be offering for sale gives prospective buyers a chance to do their research.
