How Do You Route An XM Antenna?
Whenever someone decides to get an XM radio for their car, the person typically leaves the installation to a technician at an electronics store and picks up the finished product later in the day. That approach may be a timesaver, but it often requires satellite radio enthusiasts to pay as much as $80 for the work. Instead, try routing an XM antenna through your car, which hardly requires a background in rocket science and can be accomplished on your own for free in less than an hour. Center the magnetized XM antenna on the front or back top area of your vehicle. Consider whether luggage racks (if you have one) or any other car rooftop accessory might interfere when deciding whether to position the antenna on the front or back rooftop. Route the XM antenna cable along the top of the windshield if you decided to center the antenna on the front of your rooftop. Pry up the rubber weather shield at the top and one side of your windshield. Run the antenna cable in the crevice along that path
