How Do You Role Play An Elf Character In A Dungeons And Dragons Campaign?
Part of the fun of a campaign of the pen and paper role-playing game Dungeons and Dragons is acting out the life of a fantastic creature such as elf. Role-playing an elf means thinking from a completely different viewpoint, as elves can live up to a thousand years in which they can watch dozens of human empires rise and fall. Craft a history for your character that gives an explanation of how your character generally acts and why he acts that way. Decide what sort of elven family your character comes from, if he lived in a predominately elven city or a human one and how his interactions with other races have been in the past. Keep in mind that all elves have a proclivity for the arts, such as singing, playing instruments, writing poetry and especially working magic in the form of spells and rituals.
