How Do You Role Play A Chaotic Neutral Character In A Dungeons And Dragons Campaign?
The pen-and-paper role-playing game Dungeons and Dragons offers nine different alignments for you to choose for how your character acts. Choosing the chaotic neutral alignment gives you the most freedom to role-play your character in any given situation, and can throw a serious wild card into your group’s party of adventurers. Act on any impulse that strikes your fancy, whether it be good, evil, or indifferent. Be equally willing to rob from an orphanage if you need money as you would be to protect the orphanage from thieves if it would help you in some way. Protect others or agree to help people who can’t protect themselves if there is a compelling reason to do so, such as treasure, shelter, or adoration. If the reward isn’t worth the risk, then don’t bother. Ignore any attempts by other characters to make you conform to their viewpoints or beliefs, and actively work against attempts to place restrictions on your behavior.
