Learn how to roast red peppers at home for use in all of your favorite spicy recipes. Roasting red peppers in the oven is a fairly simple and straightforward process. The benefit of roasting peppers is to give them an intense smoky flavor. This process works for most pepper varieties, and is especially good for green or red Chile peppers. This is also a great method for roasting bell peppers. To begin, turn your oven broiler on low and preheat. Next, thoroughly wash peppers. Pat peppers dry with a paper towel. Arrange them on a metal baking sheet. Then, place baking sheet under preheated broiler. Watch peppers closely as their skins begin to turn brown and blister. Use caution and do not char the skin of the peppers to the point that they turn black. After one minute or so, remove pan from oven and carefully turn hot peppers over to expose the other side. Return to the oven and continue to roast them. Once red or green peppers are brown and blistered, remove them from the oven and plac
