How Do You Roast Beef- Recipe For A Crock Pot?

0

Pot roast is a wonderful meal for those chilly evenings when you crave something warm and hearty, and remeniscent of the food your grandma used to make. Pot roast is considered a poor man’s version of roast beef. It is typically made from an inexpensive cut of beef such as chuck roast. Although chuck roast is a tougher cut of beef, it is one of the most flavorful when prepared properly. Heat the olive oil in the frying pan. Sear the trimmed beef roast on both sides for 5 or 6 minutes, until browned. Although this step is not completely necessary, it adds a layer of flavor to the roast that is very good. Place the seared roast in the crock pot. Make sure to add any juice that’s at the bottom of the frying pan. Add bouillon cubes, garlic, rosemary and pepper. Put sliced onions and mushrooms on top of the roast. Stir a bit to distribute the spices on the roast. Pour the water and wine over the roast, veggies, and spices. At this point, you can cook the roast on high for about 3 to 4 hours
