How Do You Roast A Perfect Chicken?
This recipe will get you through all the steps needed in order to cook the perfect chicken right at home in your oven. It’s not hard, and it comes out ridiculously delicious. Set your oven to 430F and rinse your chicken off with some cold water. Discard the innards usually stuffed inside the chicken carcass or save them and do whatever you feel like with them. I throw them out. Get a little violent with your chicken and pry open the holes in either end of the body a bit so it will heat more evenly. Dry off the chicken with some paper towels, place it breast side up in a pan and smear it with a good glob of butter. Add a generous amount of salt and pepper to the whole thing, it will stick nicely to the added butter. Depending on my mood and the season I sometimes add some other herbs and spices as well. I always add garlic powder. Tossing a few garlic cloves in to the chicken cavity doesn’t hurt either. Place the chicken in the middle of the now hot oven and set your timer for 20 minute
