How Do You Roast A Moist Turkey?
The big problem that most people have with the Thanksgiving turkey is that it can be a very dry dish. To keep from drying out your turkey, read on. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F. Prepare your turkey as normal, removing the giblets, rinsing the bird, and seasoning it to taste. The turkey should be breast side up in a roasting pan. Cover the pan with the foil. This is important. Roast your turkey approximately 10 to 12 minutes per pound if it is not stuffed, or 12 to 15 minutes per pound if it is. Check your turkey’s temperature at the end of the roasting time. It should be 175 to 180 degrees F in the thickest part of the meat. If the turkey is not hot enough, leave the foil off and return it to the oven until it has reached the proper temperature.
