How Do You Rig Soft Plastics Lures For Bass Fishing?
Properly rigging a soft plastic lure will greatly increase your effectiveness as a bass angler. It takes some knowledge, the right equipment and a little patience. If you take your time and do it correctly, you will be rewarded with plenty of nice bass. Take the soft plastic lure in one hand with the end toward you, while the hook is in your other hand. Insert the hook into the middle of the tip, running it a quarter-inch into the lure, then run the tip out of the lure. Slide the hook through the lure until you reach the bend of the offset. Once the tip of the lure reaches the eye of the hook, turn the hook around so the tip is touching the lure. Hold the eye of the hook between your thumb and forefinger so that the lure hangs straight down. Judge where you should insert the hook so that the worm will hang straight when the hook is reinserted. Reinsert the tip of the hook about a quarter-inch into the lure.
