The Windows XP Pro operating system accepts updates, known as Service Packs, from Microsoft that contain new drivers, security patches and other add-ons to make the operating system run better. These Service Packs don’t always function correctly with your computer’s original configuration. The latest Windows XP Pro update is known as Service Pack 3. If your computer is having issues with the update, you can revert to the last Windows XP Pro update–Service Pack 2 without any fear of losing personal files and documents. Close any open programs by clicking on the “X” located in the upper right-hand corner of the open program. Click “Start,” then “Control Panel.” Click on “Add or Remove Programs.” Click on the check box by the wording “Show Updates” located in the upper right-hand section of the “Add or Remove Programs” dialog box. Scroll to the bottom of the dialog box. Click on the “Windows XP Pro Service Pack 3” entry. Click “Remove.” Click “Finish” when prompted. Your computer will re
