How Do You Retrieve Deleted MSN Contacts?
MSN Live offers two programs that have the ability to store contacts: Messenger and Hotmail. Messenger is Microsoft’s instant-messaging service and Hotmail is a free, web-based email offering. According to Windows Live Support, an unauthorized user could delete your address book, or malware could spread into these programs and delete your contact list. If this has happened to you, there are steps you can take to retrieve your contacts. Launch Messenger and sign in using your user name and password. Click “Tools” and choose “Options” from the resulting menu, then select “Privacy.” If the “Tools” menu is not showing up in Messenger, click “Alt” first. Under “Allow or Block list,” you will find all your former contacts. Right-click each individual contact and select “Add to contacts” to move them back to your Contacts list. If the user is blocked, highlight the contact and click the “Allow” button before right-clicking and adding them back. Click “OK.” Sign out of Messenger and sign back
