Windows Media Player is the default player preinstalled in Windows operating systems. In Windows Vista and XP, Media Player comes with “Mini Mode,”–a feature that allows you to create as much screen space as you want by minimizing your player to the task bar. When Media Player is in mini player mode, you can still use the controls to play, stop, forward or rewind the clips you are playing. Click the “Start” menu, “All Programs” and “Windows Media Player 11” to launch Media Player. Right-click the task bar, select “Toolbars” and click “Windows Media Player.” Click the “Minimize” button in Media Player to enable mini mode. The application is minimized to the task bar.
