Computers usually come pre-installed with certain desktop icons on them, which are simply shortcuts to certain programs that are projected to be frequently used by the computer user. Often, when you download new programs and software onto your computer, new icons are added to your desktop that you might not want. If you accidentally delete desktop icons that you want to keep, you can restore the desktop icons with relative ease. Double-click on the recycle bin icon located on your computer desktop to open your recycle bin. Click on the desktop icon that you wish to restore. Click on “Restore Selected Item” located in the vertical navigation bar at the left of the recycle bin window to restore the desktop icon to the desktop. Repeat this process for each desktop icon that you wish to restore.
