How Do You Restore Start Menu Programs?
The Microsoft Windows “Start” menu, located by clicking the “Start” icon on your screen or pressing the “Windows” icon on your keyboard, houses your most commonly used programs and folders. Customizing it will allow you quicker and easier access to your most-used programs and folders. While customizing both the left and right side of the “Start Menu” is relatively easy, if you find that you’ve gotten carried away, you may decide to simply restore the original “Start” menu programs. This is a relatively easy process. Click the “Start” or “Windows” button to bring up the “Start Menu” panel. Click “Control Panel,” “Appearance and Personalization” and then “Taskbar” and “Start Menu.” Alternatively, you can right-click on the “Start” menu itself and select “Properties.” Click on the “Start Menu” tab. Select the “Start Menu” radio button (if it is not already selected) and then click “Customize.” Select “Use Default Settings” and click “OK” to restore the original “Start Menu” programs.
