How Do You Restore Lost Or Deleted Files?
Whether by accident or not at some point you might loose or delete a few files which you really need. Luckily not all is lost, most of these files can be recovered from their deleted state. Stop everything. The more you do on the computer the higher the chance of failure. The files that were deleted aren’t actually gone, but merely marked on the hard drive that they can be overwritten. So the more you use the computer the higher chance that they will be overwritten. You’ll need some file restoration software. If you need to download it, save it to another partition/drive. A good free program is Recover Files 2, which I’ll be using for this guide, but you can use whatever you want. Run your program and select the drive(s) that contain the files you wish to recover. Click the Analyze (or Start, Search, etc.) button and wait for the scan to finish. Now it’s time to search for your files. Set a filter or select its type from the left and look for your files.
