Internet Explorer 7 was introduced by Microsoft in 2006. There are many settings that can be customized within IE 7, including the registry settings. Customizing these registry settings can be useful, but it can cause problems with the browser. If you’ve noticed that your browser is behaving incorrectly, restore the default registry settings. Fortunately, this is easy. Click the “Start” button located on the bottom-left of the screen. Click “Settings” > “Control Panel” in Windows XP or “Control Panel” in Windows Vista.
