How Do You Restore Deleted XP Recycle Bin?

0

Accidentally deleting the Recycle Bin is a common mistake. Although the Recycle Bin will disappear off of your desktop (or wherever it was located), it is not gone forever, so do not worry. You can easily restore the deleted Recycle Bin with a simple fix located within your Windows Control Panel. The entire operation should take less than five minutes. Click the “Start” button and open up the Control Panel. Click the “Appearance and Personalization” link, and then click the “Personalization” link in the window that appears. Select “Change Desktop Icons” in the left-hand pane. Click to check the box next to the “Recycle Bin” and click “OK.” The Recycle Bin will instantly reappear on your desktop.
