How Do You Restore Active Desktop Script?
On computers running versions of Windows released prior to Vista, a feature called Active Desktop provides live content from the Web, rendered in Internet Explorer. This content stays on the desktop and continues to be updated, even when Internet Explorer is not open. After upgrading to Internet Explorer 7, you may find that Active Desktop no longer functions as it should. You may receive an error message with a “Restore My Active Desktop” link, followed by an Internet Explorer script error when you click it. Simultaneously press the Windows and “R” keys on the keyboard simultaneously. The “Run” command window will appear. Type “regedit” with no quotation marks into the Run window and press “Enter.” This will launch the Registry Editor.
