Every once in awhile, it’s a good idea to completely reformat your computer and start from scratch. It’s easy to do, and it gets rid of all the old links, programs, and assorted other things that you used to use, but don’t anymore. It will make your computer run as good as new. Think of it as spring cleaning. Disconnect all of the peripherals, such as printer, modem, and scanner. The only things that should remain plugged in are your monitor, mouse, and keyboard. Place the O/S Restore Disk into the disk drive. Restart your computer. As soon as your computer turns on, begin pressing the “F12” key repeatedly. Choose “Option 4”, and hit “Enter”. If you don’t choose your option fast enough, your computer will continue booting. If this happens, simply repeat the process. Continue past the blue screen, and choose a clean install.
