How Do You Restore A Blackened Cookie Sheet?
• Purchase a can of spray-on oven cleaner from any retailer. • Locate and wear heavy-duty rubber gloves. • Carefully spray oven cleaner over the entire cookie sheet. Do not allow oven cleaner to contact your skin in any way. • Allow the sheet to sit for 15-30 minutes. • Wearing rubber gloves, use an old towel or a rag to wipe off all of the oven cleaner. Throw the towel or rag away after use. • Wash the cookie sheet very thoroughly with soap and water. Make sure that no oven cleaner residue remains. Bake as usual, with a much shinier (and more reflective) cookie sheet.
