• Open Partition Magic. • Right-click on the drive you wish to partition. • Select Resize / Move on the drop-down menu. • Press the up/down arrow to increase/decrease the free space…. You can also Drag the slider until the required size is reached, “Fine Tuning” with the up/down arrows if you require an exact size. • Go to General > Apply Changes. • Restart, if need be. (On restarting, Windows XP may immediately display a “New Hardware Found”, “Generic Volume” message and require yet another restart. • Reopen Partition Magic. • Right-click on the unallocated space that you tagged off of the partition. • Go to Create Partition on the drop-down menu. Apply changes when you are finished.
