Windows 2000 is an older Microsoft operating system still installed on some private and business computers. The Windows 2000 operating system uses an administrator password to protect from users change critical hardware and software settings. If you have administrator rights on the machine, you can reset the administrator password. This is beneficial if you lost or forgot the current administrator password. Log in to the machine using an account with administrator privileges. Click the “Start” button and select “Control Panel” in the main menu.
