How Do You Reset The Windows 2000 Administrator Password?
Windows 2000 is an older Microsoft operating system still installed on some private and business computers. The Windows 2000 operating system uses an administrator password to protect from users change critical hardware and software settings. If you have administrator rights on the machine, you can reset the administrator password. This is beneficial if you lost or forgot the current administrator password. Log in to the machine using an account with administrator privileges. Click the “Start” button and select “Control Panel” in the main menu. Click “Users and Passwords.” Select the administrator account in the list of users configured on the Windows 2000 machine. Click the “Set Password” button at the bottom of the window.
