The radio has a four or five digit security code that must be entered using the numbered station pre-set buttons on the radio. The security code is printed on a small plastic card enclosed with the original owner’s manual. If the card is missing, you must contact an authorized Honda Dealer to get the security code. They will require you to provide the Serial Number from the radio, and sometimes the VIN from the vehicle, and also proof of vehicle ownership. This is done discourage the theft and re-sale of the radio / CD / stereo units. If you have the radio removed from the vehicle, take it with you to the dealer, along with proof of ownership. Most dealers will not charge a fee for recovering the security code.
