The Garmin StreetPilot C550 is a portable GPS unit that can be used between multiple vehicles. Features include Bluetooth technology, an MP3 player and a rechargeable battery that allows you to use the unit outside of a vehicle. The unit can be locked with a secure personal identification number to deter thieves. Turn on the StreetPilot C550. Enter your current PIN to unlock the unit. If you are in a location that the device recognizes as a “security location,” the unit will unlock itself automatically. Touch the “Menu” icon to open the main menu. Tap the “wrench” icon to open the Settings menu. Touch “System” to open the system settings. Tap the button labeled “Garmin Lock” and select “OK.” Enter a new four-digit PIN. Touch “Yes” to confirm the new password. Touch “Set” to set your current location as a security location. If you want to use a different location, drive to that location and then touch “Set” to designate it as a security location.
