The brake wear indicator is a non-reusable sensor that is installed in the brake pad. If this sensor is activated then the entire sensor must be replaced. Parts are available at all MINI dealers and are not too expensive. Please note when changing your own brake pads that the rotors are designed to wear down at the same time as the pads and should be checked for thickness.
