You need to use an OBD II ECU reader. You can rent them from most major auto parts stores. Advanced Auto Parts gives free readings (usually to read a vehicle’s check engine code). You might be able to just get an employee to see if they can turn it off with their machine. I’ve only done this method for my check engine light, but this is what I would personally try.
