The Palm Tungsten E2 is a personal digital assistant. It can store and organize a multitude of personal data. There are two ways to reset this device: soft and hard. A soft reset will not affect your personal data, but a hard reset will erase the unit and restore it to the factory specifications. Locate the reset switch on the back of the device. It is set in a recessed hole so that it cannot be accidentally pressed. Using an unfolded paper clip or the end of the Palm stylus, push the reset switch. Is the reset was successful, watch for the Palm logo to appear, as well as a prompt for setting the time and date. This type of reset should not damage your data. Press and hold the power button.
