Lucky bamboo plants (although not actually bamboo, but rather a type of lily) are a popular houseplant all over the world. Many people believe that the lucky bamboo plants will provide you with things like love, happiness and fortune depending on the number of stalks your plant has. Another thing that makes these plants so popular is their low maintenance needs. Simply provide your lucky bamboo plant with fresh water to drink and a few pebbles to root in, and it will grow. Your bamboo plant may outgrow its vase, though, which means it is time to replant it in a larger habitat. Fill your new vase with filtered water. Tap water has chemicals that may damage or you kill lucky bamboo plant. Pour the water out of your lucky bamboo plant’s vase. It is not necessary to save this water; you can always add fresh water in the new vase. Dislodge the pebbles from the bottom of the vase using your hand or a clean Popsicle stick.
