How Do You Replace Volvo S60 Stereo Speakers?

Dollar for dollar, replacing factory stereo speakers with high-performance aftermarket speakers is one of the best ways to improve the sound of music in your car. New speakers will improve the definition and detail in your music, so you’ll hear your music more clearly and with better highs and lows. Locate the “sail” panel (it’s a triangular plastic piece at the front edge of the window and door junction). Pry it off with your panel tool, starting from the bottom. Insert your panel tool at the bottom of the front part of the door pull handle and pry it out. When you’ve removed the handle, undo and take out the two T25 Torx screws. Pry around the edges of the door panel. When the clips holding it in place are all loose, lift the panel off the door. Undo the T20 Torx screws holding the speaker in place. Disconnect the speaker from the wiring and remove it. Connect the speaker wiring to your new speaker and put it in place in the door opening. Put the door panel back in place.
