How do you replace the two hood lifts that raise the engine hood on 2002 jeep grand cherokee?
I have the same problem on my 2002 jeep grand cherokee. Both hood lifts no longer hold the weight of the hood. I found that you can buy brand new aftermarket hood lifts from ebay motors for about $20 plus shipping. To remove the old lifts have a friend hold up the hood. Then take a small screw driver and pop off the safety ring on each end of the old lift. Push the old lift off the small mounting posts. The new lift just snap on those posts…it takes 10 minutes total.
