Set the gears in park and jack up the front of the Nissan Pathfinder enough to slide a jack securely underneath. Block the rear wheels to keep them stabilized while you’re working. Set a drain pan under the engine and remove the drain plug on the bottom of the oil pan with a wrench. Let the old oil drain into the pan. Once the oil pan is empty, replace the drain plug. Disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the stabilizer bar, front crossmember, starter motor, transmission mount, right and left motor mounts and power steering gear.
