How do you replace the inside drivers door handle on a 97 chevy truck?
Installing door handle of 97 silverado I don’t know if you asked this in another question that I just answered but here is what I wrote “Need a rivet gun and rivets. Remove inside door panel…(need to remove a few screws. Panel is attached by plastic rivets so pull hard but gentle. Start from bottom and work around and up. Then slide it up to remove. I don’t know if your door will have it but you might need to remove a metal plate (hexscrews) Now it gets a little tricky to explain. You’ll see a thin metal wire attached to the door handle with a plastic lock nut (needle nose pliers to remove. You might also need a drill to drill out the rivets holding the handle. Reattach the handle to the wire BEFORE replacing the rivets.
