How Do You Replace The Heater On A Waterbed?
The warm, gentle motion of a waterbed provides comfort and acts as a great stress reliever. But that calming effect is quickly lost when a waterbed turns cold. Most waterbed heaters last for many years. However, if you keep your bed long enough, you’ll eventually have to replace it. Unplug your existing heater and drain the water from the mattress. Use the hose connector provided in your fill kit and a garden hose. Allow at least 1 hour, depending on how quickly the water flows. Lay the pad and sensor of the new heater under the safety liner in the center of the bed. Set them at least 6 inches away from each other and away from the frame of the bed, but don’t plug it in yet. Replace the safety liner and spread the empty mattress on top of the liner. Place the valved end of the mattress at the foot of the bed. Fill the mattress. Plug in the heater and set it to the desired temperature.
