Many Chevy truck parts are easily serviced by the do it yourself mechanic, and replacing the fuel filter is one of the simplest parts replacements to perform. Loosen and remove the gas cap to allow any pressure built up in the tank to escape. Open the cover of the large fuse box located under the hood. Look on the underside of the cover to find the location of the fuel pump relay. Remove the fuel pump relay from the fuse box. Turn the key to the start position and allow the motor to turn over several times. The motor may start momentarily, but will shut off very quickly. Turn of the ignition. Use the small adjustable wrench to loosen the nuts that hold the negative battery cable in place and
